Boyz II Men: Back-On-Top vs Teutonic Titans — Week 3 Recap

The Result

Teutonic Titans put up 105.84 against a projection of 106.53 — about as close to on-script as a fantasy team gets. Boyz II Men: Back-On-Top, meanwhile, cratered to 84.14 against a projected 102.31, missing their number by nearly eighteen points. Final was 84.14 - 105.84, a 21.7-point win for Veit's Titans.

The Correction

The preview called it: "predicted winner: Boyz II Men: Back-On-Top (Kasper), by 2." That's wrong, and not by a little — the actual margin ran the other direction by nearly twenty points. I'll take the L. Season record on these calls is now 4 of 16.

Who Delivered, Who Didn't

Garrett Wilson was the best player on the field by a wide margin, going for 21.7 actual against a 12.32 projection. Harold Fannin nearly tripled his number, putting up 20.6 on a 7.3 projection. James Cook was the steady one, 19.4 against 15.76 projected.

On the other end, Jadarian Price was a non-factor at 0.7 actual versus 9.51 projected, and Seattle's defense delivered almost nothing at 1 against a 9.26 expectation. De'Von Achane, projected for 14.5, managed just 1.7 — that's the kind of collapse that sinks a favorite.

The Bench

There were points sitting unused, and they mattered to the shape of the loss even if not the outcome. Carnell Tate scored 8.8 on the bench while Achane started and scored 1.7 — 7.1 points left on the table. Kyle Monangai put up 3.1 unused while Price started and returned 0.7, a 2.4-point gap. Malachi Fields added 2.9 on the bench against Seattle's 1, another 1.9 points lost.

The Swing

This one wasn't close enough for a single swap to matter. The biggest bench regret was 7.1 points, and the margin was 21.7 — even fixing that decision doesn't touch the result. This game wasn't decided by a lineup decision; it was decided by a full-roster no-show against a team that hit its number.

The running back line tells the whole story — 2.8 total points from a Boyz II Men backfield that was supposed to be a strength, against 21.1 from Veit's side. That's an 18.3-point crater right there, more than enough to erase whatever Fannin and the QB spot gave back.

Standings Impact

Teutonic Titans move to 2-1, righting the ship after dropping their opener. Boyz II Men: Back-On-Top slide to 2-1 as well, their first loss of the year after opening 2-0. The league needs 6 wins to make the playoffs and anything 4 or fewer risks the Pink, and with 11 weeks still to play in this 14-week season, nobody's picture is settled — but Kasper's team just found out its floor is lower than the hot start suggested, and that RB room needs answers before this turns into a pattern.
