Justin Jefferson was the story of the week for anybody who owned him, going for 27.2 actual against a 14.31 projection — that's damn near double. Amon-Ra St. Brown backed him up with 23.7 against a 16.56 projected line. Breece Hall chipped in 18.8 on the ground with no projection on file to grade him against.

On the other end, Jaylen Waddle was a disaster, managing just 0.7 points. Quentin Johnston wasn't much better at 2.7, and Kenny Gainwell scored 2.3 against a 10.83 projection — a miss of more than eight points from a player Dustin needed to produce.

The Bench

Dustin left real points sitting on his bench this week. Kyle Monangai scored 19.4 while Kenny Gainwell got the start and managed 2.3 — that's 17.1 points left on the table right there. Caleb Douglas put up 11.9 on the bench while Jaylen Waddle's 0.7 occupied a starting spot, costing another 11.2. Add in Adonai Mitchell's 7.5 benched in favor of Harold Fannin's 3.1 (4.4 lost), and DK Metcalf's 6 sitting behind Quentin Johnston's 2.7 (3.3 lost), and this was a lineup riddled with the wrong calls at receiver and running back.

The Swing

The margin was 14.86. The single swap of Kyle Monangai for Kenny Gainwell alone was worth 17.1 points — bigger than the entire final margin. Start Monangai instead of Gainwell and Dustin's Lobos clear 101.9 and flip this result. This game was decided in a lineup decision, whether the box score wants to admit it or not.

Positional Results

Dustin's running backs dominated with a 38.5-point edge, but it didn't matter because his wide receivers got buried, a -48.5 swing that erased the RB advantage and then some. That's Waddle and Johnston's fingerprints all over the loss.
