Both sides actually beat their numbers on paper — Dilly Dilly was projected for 113.22 and put up 129.44, while Espresso Mar'TDs was projected for a modest 105.37 and blew past it to 148.96. Good week for two offenses, better week for one of them.

The Correction

The preview called it: Dilly Dilly (Morten) to win by 7.85. Instead, Dilly Dilly lost by 19.52. That's not a near-miss, that's a swing-and-a-whiff on both the winner and the margin. Verdict: wrong. Season record on predictions stands at 0 of 1. I said what I said, and I was flat wrong.

Who Delivered, Who Didn't

Kenneth Walker was the story of the week for the losing side — 32.6 actual against a 14.5 projection, more than double what I'd have expected out of him. Christian Watson (29.7) and Ashton Jeanty (29.7) also went off, though I don't have projections on file for either to measure the shock value.

It wasn't all good news on the same roster, though. Colston Loveland posted a flat 0, the Philadelphia Eagles defense managed only 3.5, and Marvin Harrison cratered to 3.8 against a 9.02 projection — a miss of real consequence given how the final margin shook out.

The Bench

This is where the game was actually lost. Jalen Coker dropped 29.8 points on Dilly Dilly's bench while Colston Loveland started and put up a donut — 0. That's 29.8 points left on the table from a single decision. Behind that, Trevor Lawrence scored 26.1 unused while the Philadelphia Eagles defense started and returned 3.5, another 22.6 points stranded. Add in Alec Pierce's 8.1 sitting behind Marvin Harrison's 3.8 (4.3 lost) and Tyler Allgeier's 8 behind the Ravens' 6 (2 lost), and this was a bench that outplayed the starting lineup by a wide margin.

The Swing

The final margin was 19.52. The Loveland-for-Coker miss alone cost 29.8 points — more than enough to have flipped this game. This one was decided by a lineup decision, and the numbers back it up without needing any hedging.

Positional Results

Dilly Dilly actually won the receiver battle by 18 points and held a narrow RB edge in raw numbers being close (50.3 to 53), but the TE column is where the game died — a 23.8-point gap that swamped everything else.

Standings Impact

Dilly Dilly (Morten) drops to 0-1, Espresso Mar'TDs (Mikkel) opens at 1-0. It's one game in a 14-week season with 13 left to play, and it takes 6 wins to make the playoffs while 4 or fewer risks landing in the Pink last-place picture — plenty of time to fix this, but not a great way to start when the underlying roster reasons are as fixable as "start the guy who's actually going to score." For what it's worth, the power rankings had this closer to a mismatch than I did: Dilly Dilly sits at agent rank 11 with a human consensus of 2.5 (a divergence of -8.5), while Espresso Mar'TDs graded out at agent rank 8 against a consensus of 8.83 (divergence of just 0.83). The room saw this coming more than my model did.
